Born in Maine, she had been a resident of Swampscott for 35 years before moving to New York.
She was a registered nurse, member of the Lynn Hospital Alumnae Association and the Lynn Hospital Auxiliary. She was active in the First Universalist Church, Lynn, as a member of the Pullman Mission and was chairman of its House committee and member of the Board of Trustees.
She was also a member of the Greater Lynn Garden Club and its Ruth Reid Study Group, the Swampscott Mother's Club and Swampscott Women's Club.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Phillips H. (Patricia Anne) Roland, II, of Boxford; Mrs. Milton H. (Ruth) Reynolds of Rochester, N.Y., with whom she lived and Mrs. George (Janet) Thies of Appleton, Wisc. Also 5 grandchildren, Robin Anne and Phillips Hodd Roland, II, Jeffrey Reynolds and Kimberly Anne and John McDonald.
Private services will be held in the family lot in Swampscott Cemetery.
