Funeral services for Mrs. Annie McGrath Capps, whose death occurred at her home, 5 Sirrine Street, Balfour Mill, Hendersonville, N.C., at 6:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, following a prolonged illness, will be held on Thursday morning at l0:30 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church, conducted by the Rev. Father Sidney F. Dean, and the interment will be in Springwood cemetery.
The following will serve as the pallbearers: Gus Barbare, Lewis Barbare, Paul Barbare, Walter Barbare, Monroe Ward and James Ward.
Mrs. Capps had made her home at Balfour during the past eight years, and prior to that time lived in Greenville, where she had many friends. She was a native of Edgefield county, and her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James McGrath, came directly from Ireland and settled in Edgefield county. Mrs. Capps was 59 years of age, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of this city. Her husband, the late J. Ed Capps, died in l923.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. C. Cowan, of Langley, and Miss Annie Mae Capps, of Balfour, N.C., and by three sons, James M. Capps and Joseph Capps, both of Balfour and Thomas E. Capps, of this city.
She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Patrick Wallace, of Trenton, N.J.; one half-brother, Michael Blynn of New York, and one half-sister, Mrs. Rosa Barbare, of Greenville, in addition to five grandchildren.
Until the hour of the service, the body will be at 36 Third Avenue, Poe Mill.
