Sheril G. Lawler, 56, of Gatesville, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at local hospital. A private burial was held Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Mound Cemetery.
Sheril Yvonne was born in Ward, Texas, to the late Harris Brooke and Veda Vernell "Nell" (Leatherwood) Griffith. Sheril and her family moved to Gatesville when she was in her early teens. She married Jackie Musgrove and had their only daughter, Heather, in 1971. Several years later, Sheril married Glenn Lawler and they resided in Leon Junction. She worked at McCoys in Belton, Texas, and for several years, owned her own furniture store in Gatesville. After the closing of her store, Sheril enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and any outdoor activities. Sheril loved cooking and baking, spending time with her family and holiday gatherings. She took pride in her grandchildren, Tyrell and Desirae Moore, whom she helped raise.
Survivors include her daughter, Heather; and grandchildren, Tyrell and Desirae Moore.
