Gordon Grundy Taylor, 86, of Lindon passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his home. Gordon was born May 13, 1926 in Loa, Utah to Lorenzo Jedediah and Jennie Grundy Taylor. He married Ramona Cox on December 5, 1946 in Loa. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Ramona passed away in 2009.

Gordon grew up in Loa and attended Wayne County Schools. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Gordon retired from Geneva Steel after 37 years of service. Gordon was active in both the community and a devoted member of the LDS church, having served with Ramona 17 years as a temple workers at the Washington DC, Provo, and the Mt. Timpanogos Temples.

He is survived by his six children: Frank (Becky) Taylor, LeeRae (Brent) Wride, Riley (Gayle) Taylor, Maxine (Joe) Nelson, Gary (Judy) Taylor and Bruce (Cyndi) Taylor; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Edna Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Third Ward Chapel, 320 West 500 North, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 72.
