Charles Henry Coe was the son of A.P. Willard and Mary Caldonia Slayton Coe. He and my mother, Mattie Oma Walters married, December 16, 1915 in Avoca, Jones County, Texas.

C.H. Coe DIES EARLY TODAY AFTER ILLNESS.

C. H. Coe, 73, a resident of 507 East Slaughter Street., died early Friday morning in an Arlinton hospital following a lengthy illness.
A former resident of the Panhandle area and a retired farmer, he had lived in Arlington since March. He and his wife who survives celebrated their golden wedding anniversay in(December) 1965. He was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by eight children, including a daughter, Mrs. John (Charlene) Guadagnolo and a son, Bobby Joe Coe, both of Arlington; several grandchildren,including a grandson, Richard Bryant, of Arlington.
Funeral services will be announced by Richardson Funeral Home in Shamrock.

The lady who wrote dad's obituary did not know all of his survivors. Children not mentioned are, three daughters Myrtle Ferril; LaVerle Bellar of Amarillo. Juanita Dyess of Andalusia, Alabama. Two sons, Obie Ellis "Tookie" Coe; and Johnnie Duwayne Coe of Amarillo.
