Mrs. Merle Lee
Mondovi, Wis. - Mrs. Merle Lee, 87, Independence Rt 2, died Tuesday evening at Buffalo Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient six weeks.
The former Merle Crocker, she was born Aug 12, 1890 in Hamlin, between Eleva and Strum, to Louis and Josephine Webster Crocker. She was graduated from Buffalo County Normal School in 1914 and taught school several years in Buffalo and Trempealeau counties.
She married Obert K. Lee in June 1921. The couple owned and operated the Lookout Store for many years until retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Lookout Lutheran Church and its organizations. Her husband died in April, 1975.
Survivors are: two sons, Allen, Mondovi, and Marcellus, Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. William (Joan) Koch, Dryden, NY, and Mrs. Alfred (Audrey) Zimmer, Independence Rt 2, and none grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Lookout Lutheran Church, the Rev. James Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Kjentvet & Son Funeral Home, Mondovi, after 3 p.m. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday and then at the church after noon.
