Betty "Elizabeth" J. Abellanosa

Age 72, passed away October 13, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Emmanuel H. Abellanosa, parents John and Katherine Stoffel, loving uncle and aunts, Leo, Bertha and Ethelyn Murphy and seven siblings. Survived by her daughter, Ethelyn; son, Jamie; and five siblings.

She was raised in Lowville, New York, lived in Los Angeles and moved to Seattle in 1968. A registered nurse for more than 40 years, she was known for her great care, compassion, and kindness. Elizabeth worked at Swedish Medical Hospital for 20 years where she received the prestigious H. Jean Byers Excellence in Nursing Practice Award. She was a loving mother, thoughtful friend and faithful parishioner of Christ the King Church, Seattle. Her generous heart and spirit will be greatly missed, along with her beautiful smile and blue eyes, which said more than words ever could.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, October 19th at 7 PM at Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 20th at 10 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 415 North 117th St., Seattle.
