Margaret B. Lydick was the third of six children born to James R. and Sarah (Chapman) Lydick in June 1827 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and died on 25 Feb 1901 in Indiana County. She married John Barkey about 1850 and together they had at least two children: Mary Samantha and Benjamin.

Mrs. John Barkey died at her home near Deckers Point on Monday morning (Feb 25, 1901), of general debility, at the age of 75 years.
Margaret was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Chapman) Lydick of Montgomery Twp. and is survived by her husband and two children.
Funeral services were held this morning (Feb 27th) at 10 AM and interment was made in the Pinevale Cemetery.
The following death notice appeared in The Indiana Weekly Messenger, Indiana County, Pa. (Wed., March 6, 1901 on page 7.)
Mrs. John Barkey, of Grant township, died February 25, of general debility, after a long illness, aged 75 years. She is survived by her husband, one son and one daughter."
