Fort Bend Herald, December 4, 2012:

Mary Lee Grawnoski was born on July 1, 1941 and was carried by God to His home on December 2, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Grawnoski; mother, Francis Anderson Sayers; brother, Henry Louis Sayers; grandparents, Louis Anderson and Cecelia Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Grawnoski.

She is survived by children, Terry McColloch and husband, Mike McColloch, Gary Grawnoski, Cathy Orsak and husband, Bobby Orsak, Tammy Wieghat and husband, Scottie Wieghat; grandchildren, Jake McColloch, Clayton Orsak, Kane Wieghat, and Kyla Wieghat; great-grandchild, Kaelynn Fischer Orsak; and Mary’s brother, Joe Anderson.

She never met a stranger and touched the lives of many. She had the grace and spark at the same time that when you met her, you wouldn’t forget her. She was always willing to talk to anyone with the exceptional ability to be able to always talk things through. Lending a hand to help others was her joy. Family was everything to our mother but her grandchildren are who she truly lived for. She spoke of them daily with a story to tell of them and smiling the whole time. More was always better… from friends to wanting to share her awesome cooking. She fought like a warrior in her last weeks with her kind and gentle heart never wanting to stop or give up and never losing her beauty thru it all. God has a true jewel with him now and peace is within us knowing she will shine brightly upon us all and never stop looking over us. She will leave a lasting impression on all of our hearts forever.

A very special thanks to her caring doctors, Dr. Uttam Tripathy, and Dr. Yassir Sonbol who worked tirelessly for her, and her very caring nurses in the ICU unit at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital: Phillip, Jerome, Fatima, Charlene, Sibi, Ambereen, Regine and the many others nurses who took special care of her. You all will never be forgotten.

A visitation for Mary Lee Grawnoski will be held Thursday, December 6th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn in Rosenberg. A private graveside service will be conducted by Elder Charlene Anderson from The First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg, Texas, on Friday. Memorials ca be made in Mary Lee's honor to the charity of your choice.
