Vera Fay (Tobey) Grinnell, 89 of Union City, died Sunday, February 23, 1997, at the home of her son, Leland "Lee" E. Childs in Bellevue.
She was born January 15, 1908, in Bedford Township to Arthur J. and Bessie L. (Payne) Tobey.
She lived in Tekonsha and Union City for most of her life and attended Hayner Country School in Branch County.
She was employed at Randall's Chicken/Bean Factory in Tekonsha.
She was preceded in by her husband, Charles Grinnell; a son Leonard Dean Childs; and brothers and sisters.
Surviving are sons, Arthur J. Childs of Battle Creek, James "Jim" O. Childs of Ceresco and Leland E. Childs of Bellevue; a daughter, Frances Goodrich of Yuciapia, Calif., 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild
Hobbies:
Enjoyed family activities, traveling, camping, cooking and playing cards
Visitation:
After 2pm Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, where the family will be present form 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm.

11am Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. David E. Childs officiating
