Beulah worked hard all of her life, she chopped cotton as a young girl, helped raise lambs, tend cattle and raise pecans. She kept a garden and canned everything. Beulah made wonderful homemade yeast rolls, dewberry cobbler, jam, and jelly and pecan pie. She was an excellent seamstress and had made beautiful dresses for her granddaughter. She enjoyed watching her grandsons shoot her rifles under her supervision along Placedo Creek.
She was a devout Christian; she stressed to her family the importance of reading scripture and trusting God. Beulah was a strong, faithful, loyal and generous servant of the Lord and age 100 was still driving herself to church every Sunday.

Pennington, III of Gonzales, Brice Pennington (Becky) of Coppell, Keith Pennington (Martha) of Manchaca, sister, Ruby Ramzinsky of Gonzales, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
