Cecil Mathias Curfman, 83 of Fairview passed away Wednesday September 17, 2014 at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. He was born February 14, 1931 in Greene County, PA, son of the late Leslie and Florence (Hunnell) Curfman.

Cecil was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He along with his wife Margaret owned and operated Curfman’s Garage in Fairview for over 50 years, specializing in Corvette repairs. They also owned Curfman’s Village. Cecil enjoyed traveling and attending motocross races with his sons all over the United States.

He is survived by one son, Brian Curfman and wife Holly of Haymarket, VA; two brothers, Eugene Curfman and wife Nancy, Pastor Kenneth Curfman; one sister, Faye Whipkey; four grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Blake, and Clint Curfman; sisters-in-law, Doris Triplett, and Minnie Miller; nephews, Bobbie D. Triplett, and Stevan Triplett; and good friends, Rob and Marilesa Yost.

In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Jo (Davis) Curfman; one son, Bruce Curfman; three brothers, Dewayne Curfman, Glenn Curfman, and Donald Curfman; three sisters, June Phillips, Delores Fox, and Vivian Tedrow; a brother-in-law, Bill Davis; three sisters-in-law, Ardella Jean Triplett, Lenora Miller, and Roselea Cummins.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home Curry Chapel in Fairview from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday September 22, in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Vincent and John Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont with full military rights being performed at graveside by the Marion County Veteran’s Council.
