She was born in the town of Darlington in 1857 and was married to Mr. Bishell in 1876 and was the mother of eight children, three boys and five girls. Her maiden name was Douglas. She was a pleasant, good natured, kind hearted, hard working woman; loved by her family and respected by her neighbors for her many good qualities.
Her husband and family, mother, brothers and sisters have the sympathy of all their neighbors in their bereavement. The all wise God, who works in a mysterious way his wonder to perform, has seen fit to take the mother and leave the babe.
