Have marriage certificate for her first marriage to John Martin (Mart) Larremore and they were married December 27, 1896 in Eddy County, New Mexico. The marriage was dissolved.

Married for second time June 22, 1898 in Eddy County, New Mexico to George Monroe McDonald, and to this union five children were born: Grace Ellen (1899-1939), Clarence C. (1901-1929), Ralph Patrick (Pat)(1903-1989), Clifford (Bill) (1904-1974), and Gerald Monroe (1906-1969).

Obituary reads: MRS. G. M. MCDONALD
Donnie, daughter of Oscar and Letha Sassin, was born at Throckmorton,
Texas on October 9, 1881. As a child of five years she moved with her parents
to Seven Rivers, New Mexico, where she grew to womanhood. Here on June 22, 1892
she was married to Mr. George M. McDonald.
To this union, God gave five children, a daughter and four sons. The
family later moved to Lakewood, New Mexico and in 1919 came to Texas County,
Oklahoma, settling at Optima, which was her home till death called her.
Mrs. McDonald knew the sorrows of life. About six years ago, a son,
Clarence, was terribly burned and death ensued. Almost a year ago the husband
was taken.
A few months ago she was stricken with a dread disease and after weeks of
patient suffering slipt away to be with her loved one and her Lord in the early
morning of November 26, 1935.
In 1922 she confessed the Christ as a personal Savior and united with the
M. E. Church south at Optima, Oklahoma under the ministry of Rev. Longino. She
lived a quiet life of glad faith and helpful service. By her life she gave a
full and beautiful meaning to the words daughter, wife, mother, sister and
friend.
Those who will cherish her memory include the aged mother, Mrs. Letha
Sassin, a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Knowles and family of Guymon; three sons, Gerald
McDonald and family of Guymon; Ralph McDonald and wife of Optima; Clifford
McDonald and wife of Hooker; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Esther Prestly and family
of Liberal, Kansas; a brother, Louis Sassin of Optima; three sisters, Mrs. J.
O. Drummond of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Hugh H. Johnson of Sudan, Texas, and
Mrs. Ben Calvert of Goodwell; seven grandchildren, other relatives and a host
of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Optima Methodist church by Rev. Cecil
Ellis and Rev. R. L. Wells. Songs of faith and hope were sung by a sexette
consisting of Mrs. Carl Holt, Mrs. Steve Durst, Carl Holt, Steve Durst, Reggie
Frank and Rev. Adrian Rea with Mrs. J. Rea at the piano.
The following neighbors bore the body to its final resting place in
Guymon Cemetery: Vernon Spenden, Howard Stamper, Carl Gebhart, Lloyd Gregg,
Doris Ansley and C. J. Calvert.
