Mrs. Jannetta L. Pierce, 72, died Monday, May 4, 1992, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at Fenton Road Baptist Church in Flint, Mich. Pastor William R. Long officiated, with burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Pierce was born in Blytheville, Ark., on January 8, 1920. She married Clifford J. Pierce in Burton on February 24, 1962. She was a member of Fenton Road Baptist Church, was past matron of the Grand Blanc Chapter #507 Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Temple Shrine #28 White Shrine of Jerusalem, past president of the World War I Auxiliary, a member of the Holly American Legion #149, an honorary member of the Davisburg Eastern Star, a member of the Davisburg Scotties, an active member of the Senior citizens of Holly "Holly Hocks" and an active member of the Community Ed Board in Holly.

Mrs. Pierce retired from General Motors Ternstedt in 1980. She was a member of UAW Local #326.

She leaves her husband, Cliff; two children, Barbra, and husband, Doug Jones, of Davison; and Gary and wife, Carolyn Fisher, of Flint; a stepson, Ace, and wife, Pauline Pierce, of Taylor; five grandchildren, Bradley and Bryan Jones, Gary Lee and Vickie Lynn Fisher and Paula Pierce; two brothers, Alvin and wife Jonnie Hawkins, Earl and wife, Pauline Hawkins, all of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
