On Friday morning at about 6 o'clock occured the death of Henry Bley, an old resident of this community. Death was due to asthma of which he suffered the last 4 years. He was born in Germany, November, 1840 and came to this country with his parents when a boy. He spent his early manhood days at Superior working in the copper mines. Twenty seven years ago he came to this community and settled on the farm on which he resided ever since. Some time later he was married to Miss Katerine Lorge of Belgium who with six children survives him. They are as follows: John Whiting, Ind., Mrs. Wm. Galles of Portal, N.D., Nick, Aloys, Henry and Frank here. The writer joins with friends and relatives in extending sympathy to the bereaved family. May he rest in peace. John Bley of Whiting, Ind. and Mrs Wm. Galles and children of Portal, N.D. are here to attend the funeral of their father.
