Obituary: 18 Nov 1981 - Services for Thomas Silcox, Sr., 64, of route 1, Commerce Road, Watertown, were held at 2. p., Thursday, Nov 12, 1981, at Commerce Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. A. D. Saulsburg officiated at the services. Burial was in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. A supervisor at Perfection Dairy, he was the son of Benton Silcox and Maggie Pope Silcox. He was a member of Commerce Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ora Graves Silcox; five daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Meddenorf of Denver, Col, Mrs. Charlotte Farmer of LeGrange, Ga., Mrs. Marie Morris of Cleveland, Miss.; Mrs. Linda Simpson of McMinnville, and Mrs. Jean, Portland, and Mrs. Jean Parker of McMinnville; one son, Thomas Silcox, Jr., of Alameda, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Estelle Woodard of LaFayette, Mrs. Betty Alvis of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Hettie Sexton of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Martine McLaughlin of Indiana, and Mrs. Lucille McLaughlin of Tyler, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Ann Albritton of Gordonsville, and one brother, James Silcox of Akron, Ohio.
