FORMER EMPORIAN DIES

Mrs. Thomas W. Hafer, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Emporia, died Friday in Denver, Colo., where she had spent the past eight months.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, conducted by a grandson, the Rev. William McGill. The Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.

Lenora E. Fowler, the daughter of Eli and Zerilda Cavaness Fowler, was born Oct. 14th, 1875, in Emporia. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died June 14th, 1934, a son, Thomas E. Hafer, and four brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. R. K. Michael, Denver, and Mrs. Dickerson Sanders, Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Ernest H. Fowler, Americus; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

HAFER SERVICES HELD

Graveside services for Mrs. T. W. Hafer, Kansas City, Mo., who died Friday in Denver, were held Monday morning in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, conducted by a grandson, The Rev. William Magill, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield, Mo.

Relatives attending from out of town were the Rev. Magill and his family, Springfield; Mrs. R. K. Michael and family, Denver; Mrs. D. H. Sanders and son, William, Atlanta, Ga; and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Fowler, Americus.

(The grandson's name was spelled McGill in the first paper, and Magill in the second paper.)
