Robert G. "Pork" Prater, 85, of Decatur passed away Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2012) at Canterbury Ridge in Urbana.
He was born May 26, 1927 in Cowden, the son of Thomas and Vesta Miller Prater.
He married Doris E. Badorek on July 11, 1945. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2008.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Mark Prater; daughter, Linda (Marc) Knowles; grandchildren, Mary Prater, Matthew Prater, Michael Knowles and Kaitlin Knowles and great-grandson, Mason Prater.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
