Bill Cornett a former resident of Letcher County passed from this life on Thursday May 4 1946 at the Booth Hospital Covington Ky. after an illness of two years with a heart condition. He was 71 years of age at his death and is survived by the widow Mrs. Elizabeth Gilbert Cornett and six children: Clifton In, Isaac, Uz, Ky., Mrs. Mandy Mitchell Roxana Ky., Mrs. Delilah Combs Kona Ky., Mrs. Maxine Strong and Mrs. Eliza Barnett of Covington Ky., and a host of relatives and friends. The remains were brought back to Letcher County for burial on Tuesday May 7th 1946 at 1:00 o’clock pm at the Bony Banks Cemetery Ice Ky., with Elders Kernel Sexton, Albert York and John Sexton officiating. Craft Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
