AILEEN E. PLEMMONS ASHEVILLE Aileen E. Plemmons, 87, of Starnes Cove Rd, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Pisgah Manor. Born in Buncombe Co. on Aug. 8, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Charles S. and Gladys Hawkins Plemmons. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold C. Plemmons and one sister, Evelyn R. Plemmons. She was a charter member of Abernathy Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Sand Hill School, class of 1941, and a graduate of Mission Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1948. She retired from Buncombe County Health Department, as a public health nurse, after 32 years. She is survived a nephew, David A. Plemmons. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Sayer officiating. Interment will follow in the Acton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
