OBIT. - Marianna Amedei, 100, of Bevier, died July 20, 1989, at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bevier. Burial was in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery at Bevier. Arrangements were by the Carney Funeral Chapel in Bevier. The family suggests memorials to the cemetery. These may be left at the home.
Mrs. Amedei was born April 20, 1889, in Locana, Italy, the daughter of Giovanni Contratto and Giovanna Bruno. She married James Amedei May 9, 1909 in Macon, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bevier.
Surviving are four daughters, Elda Contratto and Concetta Marra, both of Bevier, and Lorraine Daniels and Betty Brugioni, both of Highland Park, Ill; three sons, Lewis, John and Joe, all of Bevier, a sister, Maria Baravetto of Locana, Italy; a niece, Mary Jo Kitchen of Bevier; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, tow sisters, two brothers, and one granddaughter.
