Mrs. Hilda Mooney Gordy, age 94, of Meansville, passed away November 22, 2012. She was born in Pike County to the late Will Henry Mooney and Anna Mae Thornton Mooney. She worked for the William Carter Company in Barnesville for 28 years before retiring. She was a long-time member of Meansville Baptist Church and enjoyed doing things for others. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gordy and her daughter, Carolyn Gordy Sams.
She is survived by her son: Don Gordy of Meansville; special family friend: Gail Cauthen of Meansville; and several other relatives.
