Joseph Fuchtman Sr., 86, died Wednesday, June 6 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral serviced were conducted Friday morning at St. Ludger Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Schad officiating. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery.

Mr. Fuchtman was born Nov. 3, 1886 at Dodge to Anton and Anna Fuchtman. He was married to Clara Schula Feb. 7, 1912 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Wisner. Twelve children were born to them. They lived at Aloys, Wisner and Creighton.

He farmed his entire life until retiring in 1961 and moving into Creighton.

Surviving are five daughters and six sons; Sr. Frances of Fremont, Sr. Kathleen of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. R.L. (Margaret) Focht of Lewiston, Ida., Mrs. John (Edna) Burns, Mrs. Marvin (Florence) Hasenpflug, Leonard, Walter, Willard, Raymond and Joseph Jr. of Creighton and Edwin of Hartington; 33 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

His wife, one son, parents, five sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
