Mrs. John Aird

Zoe Peed, daughter of Isaac and Mary Peed, was born at Boone, Ia. Oct. 11, 1878 and passed away September 29 at Fort Dodge, Ia.

She came to Bazile Mills with the family in July 1879. It was in 1881 that the family moved to Plainview, where she was graduated from the school in 1895.

On Feb. 21, 1906 she was united in marriage to John Aird at Plainview. The couple established their home on a farm near Center and remained there for 41 years. They then moved into Winnetoon and it was there that Mr. Aird passed away.

Surviving are one brother, Earl Peed of Winnetoon, four nephews and one niece. the latter is Mrs. Bessie Ryan in whose home she had been cared for during her final illness.

Services were conducted in the Congregational-Baptist Church of Creighton October 1 with the Rev. Gordon Jensen, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Plainview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Kumm, E.C. Clare, Roy Koppelman, Arley Jewell, Walter French and William Lane.
