Fred W. Lange, of Maryville, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. Death was due to chronic myo-carditus.
Mr. Lange was employed at the Peabody Mine No. 17 and has served as village clerk at Maryville. He was born near Maryville September 9, 1875 and had attained the age of 53 years, 4 months and 28 days. He has lived in that vicinity all his life.
Besides his wife Christene, he is survived by six children, Estelle, Alfred, Walter, Robert, Agnes and Lucille Lange, three brothers, Theodore Lange of this city, Alfred Lange of Philadelphia, Pa., Carl Lange of Arizona, and five sisters, Mrs. Alvina Totzke of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Johanna Schoettle of this city, Mrs. Martha Mier of Maryville, Mrs. Tabea Voge of St. Louis and Mrs. Christine Sievers also of this city.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the family residence in Maryville, thence to the Pleasant Ridge Lutheran Church, where Rev. Hodde will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
