He married (first) Rebecca; married (second) Mary A. Marlow; married (third) the former Adelaide J. Towler.

Rebecca's maiden name is unknown. An assertion that she was the former Rebecca Ann Chaney is unsupported by any documentation whatsoever. Further, the assertion that she and Aaron were married in 1855 in Jefferson County, Iowa, is unfounded and questionable. Aaron was born in Morgan County, Ohio. His family was counted there from 1830 forward.

Rebecca was born circa 1837-1838 in Ohio, based solely on the 1860 census. In 1860 she and Aaron were counted in Noble County, Ohio, with their son, David (born in 1857 in Ohio), and an unnamed male infant (8 months old, also born in Ohio.) As of this writing, no marriage record has surfaced in either Jefferson County, Iowa, or in any county in Ohio.
