Willie Ree Lunsford Broach, 82, of 705 Broach Road, Hurdle Mills, died Friday, November 16, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in Person County, Mrs. Broach was the daughter of the late Fornie Lou & Maggie Lou Welch Lunsford, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Doris Chandler, Frances Huff, Lorean Hill, two brothers Medford Lunsford & Edsel Lunsford. Mrs. Broach was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was the former operator of Hester's Store & Mitchell's Seafood in Burlington. Mrs. Broach love to read & embroider & share her work with her friends & family.
Mrs. Broach is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Samuel Nathaniel "Nat" Broach; three children Larry Nathaniel Broach & wife Patsy of Burlington, Deborah Broach Kendrick & husband Maynard of Hurdle Mills & Christi Broach Epps & husband Ronnie of Roxboro; one brother-in-law Willie Chandler Roxboro; two sisters-in-law Frances Lunsford of Timberlake, Ruth Lunsford of Springfield, Ma.; four grandsons Chad Kendrick & partner Michelle, Kyle Kendrick, Nikki Freeman & Larry N. Broach, Jr. & wife Kris; three great-grandchildren Makayla Kendrick, Matthew Kendrick & Gracie Broach and a step grandson Eddie Watson.
Funeral services was be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Elder Jimmy Gray & Elder Cleo Robertson. Interment followed in the family plot at Wheeler's Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Gordonton. Visitation was held Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Pallbearers were her nephews.
