Died age 91.Came to Canada as a boy with his parents who settled on a farm in Brock Township. At age 18 he served as a volunteer with others who suppressed the McKenzie Rebellion. Married in 1842 and settled on lot 15, concession 7. He and his bride were in the wilderness and there were no roads or modern conveniences. Members of his family that survived him were: Michael of bay city Michigan,John, Uptergrove, Peter on the homestead, Nellie(J. Desmond),Udney, Willim, Vancouver,Joseph, Dallas Texas, all except the last two were present at his bedside.
