Jacob Warner was born December 26, 1818, in Pennsylvania. On March 13, 1848, he married in Woodsboro, Frederick County, Maryland, to Mary Jane Rouzer, daughter of Daniel and Mary Ann Miller Rouzer. They were the parents of 3 children: Susan Isabel, Mary Catharine and Lewis Jacob Warner. Jacob passed away on December 20, 1901, in Frederick County, and was buried on the 22nd in Haugh's Church Cemetery, Ladiesburg, Frederick County, Maryland.

"Mr. Jacob Warner died at his home, near Miller's Bridge, this county, December 20, aged 82 years, 11 months and 20 days. Funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from Haugh's Church, near Ladiesburg. Service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. E. Wheeler."
