Ellen Claytor Hickman, 81, of Burena Vista died Monday, Aug. 11, 1986, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1905, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Samuel A. Claytor and Lettie C. Claytor.
She had been a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church for 56 years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Newton Hickman, a son, Charles S. Hickman; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte C. Crickenberger of Buena Vista; and six grandchildren.
A service was conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, at the Buena Vista Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Harvey and the Rev. A. J. Hawes. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery.
