Christian Pence Ball, 77, of 1304 Kirby avenue, died unexpectedly at 4:15 o'clock Friday afternoon in the office of a downtown physician. He was a painter and decorator, having moved to Muncie from Redkey 26 years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church and Masonic Lodge at Redkey.

Surviving are the wife, Clara; and nine children.

The body was removed to the Meeks mortuary where funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
