He married Zella Mae Rosser in 30 Dec 1949. They had four daughters: Brenda Mozelle, Connie Annette, Deborah A., and Rhonda Gayle.
He worked in the uranium digs in and around Las Vegas, Nevada and later returned to Texas where he bought a home on Lake Mathis (now Lake Corpus Christi). He died of a heart failure.
