James Gosser of Route 5 died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City. An announcement of services and an obituary will be published Tuesday. Carlson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Gosser
James "Jim" Junior Gosser of Route 5 died Sunday, April 18, 1993, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City. He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor.
He was born Dec. 20, 1932 at Plymouth, the son of James Lewis and Viola White Gosser. He married Judy Elaine Waite on June 21, 1956 at Yates Center. Mr. Gosser was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and Lowry-Funston Post 1980 of the VFW. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include: his wife and a son, Jerry Gosser of the home; a daughter, Vicki Stiner, of Burlington; two brothers, Herbert Gosser of Argonia, and William L. Gosser of Emporia; six sisters, Dorothy Carpenter, Nancy Wyatt and JoAnn Baysinger, of Emporia, Ethel Knight, of Hutchinson, Rosetta Clark, of Minnesota, and Patty Vogts, of Michigan; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by the minister, the Rev. Joe Tuttle. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Military service will be conducted at the graveside. The family will received friends at Carlson Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions to the Bethel Baptist Church may be sent to the Carlson Funeral Home.
