Death Claims Anton Vander Loop, Well Known Hollandtown Farmer.
Anton Vander Loop, 56 years of age, a prominently known farmer of Hollandtown, died at the St. Joseph's hospital, Milwaukee, this (Tuesday) morning at 4:30 o'clock from the effects of an operation which he underwent last Friday. He was taken to the hospital Thursday.
The late Mr. Vander Loop was born on July 13, 1872, at Hollandtown and lived there during his entire life.
He was a member of the St. Joseph's society of the St. Francis church, and member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, Branch No. 103, and a member and officer of the St. Francis society. He was prominently connected with various civic and church affairs held at Hollandtown.
Surviving the deceased man are his widow; four sons, Richard, Norbert, Eugene and Cyril of Hollandtown; eight daughters, Mrs. Henry Hiting of Kaukauna, Mrs. Steve Wittman of Askeaton, Mrs. Peter Ver Bockel of Hollandtown, Ozie, Helen, Alvina, Lucina and Dolores at home; two brothers, Henry Vander Loop of Stanley and Arnold Vander Loop of Little Chute; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Brochtrup of Forest Junction and Mrs. Joseph Rolf of Hollandtown.
Funeral services are to be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the St. Francis Catholic church of Hollandtown, with Rev. Louis Van Oeffel in charge of the requiem high mass. Burial will [be] in the St. Francis cemetery. The body was brought to Kaukauna by L. C. Feehan this (Tuesday) morning and will be taken to the Vander Loop home at Hollandtown tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.
