KNOTTS, Rufus A. Age 79, of Huber Heights, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Rufus was preceded in death by his parents, Channings & Inez Knotts; and by two sisters, Clara Mae Sharp & Betty Houchins. Rufus is survived by his loving wife of the past 57 years, Rose (Hoskins) Knotts; one daughter, Doris & her husband, Stephen Todd; one son, Bill & his wife, Susie Knotts; six grandchildren, Steven (Shannon) Todd, Jason (Joan) Todd, Jeanine (Mark) Williamson, Billy Knotts, Mandy (Jason) Evans & Brian Knotts; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (Beverly) Knotts & Fletcher (Myrna) Knotts; and by his extended family & many good friends. Rufus retired from the United States Air Force with 22 years of service. He was a member of the Way of the Cross Church. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 8:00 p.m., Friday (11/13) at the Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with Pastors William Loudermilk and Steven Todd officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Rufus to Way of the Cross Helping Hands to help feed the needy.
