She loved to quilt and spend time in her yard. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade pies.
She loved her family and enjoyed being with them. She is survived by her children, Gary R. (Maedell) Ekker, Green River; Everett (Karla) Ekker, Price; Don (Judy) Ekker, South Jordan; Phyllis (Morris) Blackburn, Emery; Jay (Joanne) Ekker, Green River; and Kerry (Tina) Ekker, Richfield; 28 grandchildren; 65 great-grand children; 14 great-great-grand children; and brother, Raymond Maxfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riter; son, James; daughter, Sadie; grandson, Evan; great-grandson, Grant; parents; and sister-in-law, Leda Maxfield.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in the Hanksville LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Hanksville from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Hanksville Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S.
