Family and friends also knew her affectionately as "Ellie," "Grandma Z," and "Great." Born July 13, 1917 in Centerville, UT to Samuel Marius Linge and Henrietta Alzina Tingey. Married George Lavar Zesiger in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Oct 4, 1937. She worked for many years in the school cafeterias of Davis County and was loved by many children and co-workers. She had the special gifts of love, friendship, and service, and freely shared those gifts with everyone she met. Though she did not have much, she was always taking meals to those in need and serving others in any way she could. Her home was always filled with friends and relatives who loved to sit and visit and many people have wonderful memories of her love and friendship. The house on 100 N. and 290 E, Centerville will always remind us of these precious memories.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to those who constantly showed their love by cards, pictures and visits. In addition, they are grateful to all the staff of Life Care Center in Bountiful who over the years tenderly took care of our "Grandma Great." Furthermore, the family would like to thank Eleanor for her exemplary life; a life patterned after the Lord Jesus Christ. She lived the two great commandments and will forever be remembered for her faithfulness as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Eleanor is survived by her three daughters, Konnie (Roland) Jenkins, St. George, Ruth Peterson, West Bountiful, Elaine Mater, Pueblo, CO; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lavar; and son, Paul Zesiger.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wed. March 5, 2003 Centerville Canyon Ward Chapel, 160 S. 300 E, Center-ville. The viewing will be Tues. 6-8 p.m. Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful. Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
