Box Factory Executive Dies at Home Here
Funeral services for Ralph H. Barter, 55, vice-president and sales manager of the Decatur Box & Basket Company, Decatur, Ala., who died unexpectedly at 8 p.m. Monday at his home, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Pearson's. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Barter, a native of Mount Vernon, Ind., had been with the Decatur company, with offices in the Starks Building, since 1925. Previously he was manager of the Chicago Mill & Lumber Company, Nashville. He was a veteran of World War I and a Mason.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ann Ayers Barter; a daughter, Miss Ann Ayers Barter; a brother, Bert H. Barter, Miami, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Laird, Metropolis, Ill., and Miss Nora Barter, Mt. Vernon.
