Phebe was the youngest child of John L. Mizer (Miser)and Polly Hale. She came to Missouri with her mother after her fathers death and lived with her brother John Austin Mizer and his wife Rebecca Burrows. Here she met Michael Thomas Lowry and they married in 1871. Quickly having two children and becoming ill by 1872 she and the children died. Family has conflicting stories of two boys or a boy and girl. Her and the childrens graves was marked beside Michael T. Lowry when family from Iowa at a later date placed Michael's headstone.
