Born Nov. 4, 1909, in Tingley, he was the son of Louie and Dora (Wolf) Pietzsch. On Sep. 15, 1938, he married Mildred Peterson in Mediapolis.
Mr. Pietzsch worked as a city bus driver, at Iowa Southern Untilities and as an electrician at Sylvania Electric.
He was a 1929 graduate of Burlington High School.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Paul Pietzsch of Des Moines; two daughters, Elaine Ryerson of Hampton, IL, and Donna Kime of Littleton, CO; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Pietzsch of Ft. Madison; and one sister, Erma Andrews of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour to the time of service on Saturday.
The funeral for Mr. Pietzsch will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel, with family members officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery.
