Elizabeth Pearson McKenney was born in April 1818, in Kentucky as the daughter of McKenney. She married George Archibald Armstrong on 11 December 1845, in Boyle County, Kentucky. They were the parents of 2 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 10 February 1896, at the age of 77, and was buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky.
