Richard P. "Dick" Weaver, of McSherrystown, entered into eternal rest December 4.

He was the son of the late Francis and Sarah (Yost) Weaver.

Mr. Weaver was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was retired from Syvania Shoe Co. in McSherrystown. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Hanover, a life member of McSherrystown Home Association and a life member of the American Legion in Hanover.

He was the husband of the late Florence R. (Strausbaugh) Weaver, who died June 4, 2003, and is survived by a sister, Mary Giraffa of Hanover; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Interment, with full military honors, was provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
