Ann Kessinger, 75, of Moline, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at First Baptist Church, 305 1st St., Colona. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Ann was born Jan. 4, 1937, in Lutesville, Mo., the daughter of Milford and Sadie (Shanks) Abernathy. She married Kenneth Kessinger on Aug. 15, 1958, in East Alton.
Ann was a great lover of dogs.
Survivors include husband; three sons; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Wiedel; brothers-in-law, Bob (Ruby) Kessinger and Jim Simms.
She was preceded in death by sister-in-law Virginia Simms.
