Mrs. Morris was born December 2, 1932 in Page County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Sherman L. and Gladda Hensley Baugher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, two brothers and a beloved nephew, Gregory Wentz.
Mrs. Morris graduated from Shenandoah High School and had previously been employed by Wrangler as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working in her flower garden, the beach, music (especially Frank Sinatra) and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ray H. Morris; sons, Matthew H. Morris of Elkton and Jonathan R. Morris of McGaheysville; daughter, Laura Thayer of Harrisonburg; sisters, Betty L. Price of Waynesboro and Janice Dinges of Elkton; grandchildren, Ryan Morris, Sara Morris and Sydney Thayer.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 Saturday evening, November 10, 2012 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton, with Pastor Jimmy Kite officiating. Burial will be private.
