Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Tislau, 64, Highmore were held Jan. 24 at Highmore. She and her husband Ludvig had lived in Hyde County and Highmore since 1927 and before that resided in Delmont.

Mrs. Tislau died Jan. 21 at a Huron hospital.

Born June 9, 1897 near Delmont, she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Fischer.

She was united in marriage to Ludvig Tislau Feb. 19, 1917 at Tyndall.

They lived on a farm near Delmont until 1927 when they moved to a farm in Hyde County later to their recent home in Highmore.

The deceased was a mother of seven children, two of them preceded her in death. Surviving are her widower, four sons and one daughter, Louis of South Milwaukee, Wis., Emil of Redwood City, Calif., LeRoy of Sheboygan, Wis., Leonard of Highmore and Mrs. Vernon (Elda) Olson, Pierre and 18 grandchildren.

Also surviving are her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Fischer of Tyndall, three brothers. Jacob R. Fischer of Tripp, Henry Fischer of Fresno, Calif., and Adolph Fischer of Rapid City and three sisters, Miss Emma Fischer of Highmore, Mrs. Helena Clark of Ashland, HI., and Mrs. Lydia Schrank of Lake Andes.
