She was married to John Hamlin, at Centerville, Iowa, and they moved to Kansas, then to Colorado. There her husband was taken ill and they returned to Centerville, Iowa where he died.
She was married on January 27, 1927 to Johnnie Hawthorne at Sayre, Oklahoma. They lived on the home place near Crawford.
After the death of Mrs. Hawthorne she sold the farm and moved to Cheyenne in 1943.
She died in the Cheyenne hospital Wednesday morning, February 13, and was buried from St. Joseph's Church February 14.
