FLORENCE -- Geraldine Morris Anderson, 87, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, in a Florence hospital. She was born in Timmonsville a daughter of the late Henry Clay Dean Morris and Dora Ida Morris. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and received her masters degree from Francis Marion University. She taught in the Florence County School System, District 1, until her retirement. She was a resident of the Methodist Manor.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word and was the church organist for 30 years.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Jesse B. Morris, Byron S. Morris and Henry Morris; and a sister, Sarah Jane Morris Anderson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto St. Interment will be in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert S. Anderson Jr., 4329 Twin Church Road, Timmonsville, SC 29161.
