Robert "Bob" Lee Glasscock was born to Stephen Archibald and Letha Luella Riggle Glasscock, the 9th of 11 children, on September 3, 1926 at Nemaha, NE. Bob joined "the Man upstairs" on November 2, 2012.
To this union 5 children were born: Russell Eugene, Glenda Rae, Linda Kay, Ronald Lee and Gloria Jean. He was "Uncle Bob" to Scott Allen Erickson and Joni Lucille Erickson.
Bob lived and worked in Fairbury, NE. at the Hested's 5 and 10 Cent Stores Warehouse, then the Fairbury (NE.) Windmill Company. During his early years Bob played on the Fairbury, NE. baseball team. He later became a bricklayer apprentice and got his union card in 1949. On September 20, 2009 he received his 60 year membership pin from B.A.C. Local #15 Missouri/Kansas Chapter #02/Kansas (Wichita). He was the Union manager at the time of his retirement. He retired to Fairbury, NE. purchasing his parent's rental home so he could be closer to his children. His hobbies included reading and writing poetry.
Bob is survived by: children, Russell Glasscock and wife, Jacqueline, Glenda Pfingsten and husband, Al, Ronald Glasscock and wife, Dawnette, Gloria Precht and husband James, son-in-law, Lyle McLaughlin, step-son Scott Erickson and wife, Susan; brothers, Albert Glasscock and wife Inez and Stephen Glasscock and wife, Margaret (Peg); sister, Alice Westerhoff and their families, special friend Dallas "Tex" Speth and a host of relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Linda McLaughlin; step-daughter, Joni Erickson; sisters, Lily, Thelma, Threasa, Emma and June; brothers Louis and George.
Burial was in the Fairbury Cemetery, Fairbury, NE.
