Elbert Crockett Delauney, a native of Sharpsburg, died of a cerebral hemorrhage which he suffered three weeks ago at his home in Roanoke, Va. He was aged 56.
Surviving are his wife, Anna (Greever) Delauney; daughters, Martha Jane and Elizabeth, both at home; mother, Mrs. Laura C. Delauney, Sharpsburg; brothers, Mervin and Lloyd, both of Sharpsburg; Fred, Roanoke; sister, Mrs. C. Swain, Hagerstown.
Short services will be held today at Roanoke, with further services at the Leaf Funeral Home, Sharpsburg Friday at 2 p.m., the Rev. John M. Aurand officiating. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
